Cathy Testa

You may read about my plant history via the ABOUT page, but I also added this page to introduce myself. I am Cathy Testa and go by “Container Crazy CT” because I like to do all my gardening and plant creations in container gardens of all sizes, from small hanging votive globes to huge pots.

Years ago, when I started this blog about planting in containers, I couldn’t really think of a name and just went with Container Crazy CT because yes, I am crazy, and yes, my name is Cathy Testa and it could be also for Connecticut, where I live in the Broad Brook section of East Windsor, CT.

My official business name is “Cathy T’s Landscape Designs” because I dabbled in doing designs initially when I acquired my first plant related job after finishing my degree many moons ago. Well, I won’t go into that here because I wrote all about that in the ABOUT section on this blog website.

I wear many hats and view myself as a very small one-woman owned business, specializing in unique offerings. I don’t have a physical store and have done many vendor shows in the past, but now I tend to be more customized for pick-ups and installations more on the “personal hired gardener” side of the business, meaning I have unique and special clients and focus on each of them!

If you are looking for a custom gift, handmade items such as my Holiday Wreaths, Fall Wreaths, and Succulent Topped Pumpkins, I’m here for you.

If you are looking for container gardens and patio pots installed at your home or business front, I’m here for you! See for more on my container services.

If you are looking for genernal plant care information, much is written here on this blog website. I also offer things like “Houseplant MakeOvers” and sometimes, a specific organic vibe will hit me and I will create something unique, such as the Owl Globes during the holidays last year.

I have a site called,, named as such because I also offered plant related workshops for tens years, but with the onset of COVID, I ceased those, and it was time for me to do so as they were a tremendous amount of work and time. I know my attendees miss them so much, and sometimes I do too, but I have moved on to custom offerings, kits, holiday seasonal decor, and growing plants to sell in the spring, and also offer container garden installations.

Please feel free to reach out anytime, via cell, text, or DM!
